| The Process |
| Resin Cindy uses Resin to coat each image. After building the very large wooden canvas, she then mounts an archival inkjet print to its' surface. She proceeds to adhere a resin layer. Resin, unlike varnish, is an extremely thick and shiny substance. This is an intense and tricky technique. It is a 2 part process that takes practice but is beautiful and enhances every color of a photograph. Embedments The artist will often embed objects into the work that may be specific to the concept, some of which include; buttefly specimens, reproduction bones, fabric, wire and metal. This process is done prior to the final resin layer. |
